Bindi

Doing this post has been on my mind for seriously so many months and I am so glad that I finally did it. YAY!

Bindi (known as Bindu in Sanskrit) is the point where creation begins and may become unity. Sadly, there are very few people whom you would see sport a bindi anywhere outside  the Indian continent, because (if you didn’t already guess it) it’s a very religious tradition. Usually, Bindis are red dots worn between your eyebrows but as the world around us has become so progressive that there are actually an abundance of different tinted Bindis.

That’s enough Wikipedia for one post. Now switching over to Fashionpedia (ha, get it get it?)

I have literally seen a zillion people/celebrities wear Bindis with so many of their outfits and that means only one thing, these Indian tradition is back in fashion. It’s absolutely not necessary to wear it with a traditional ensemble but you can also style it with a semi-western outfit.

Here’s some inspiration for you.
