Book Review: All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

A book that made me cry hard.

I have a love-hate relationship with this book (love it more than I hate it, of course)

Hate because, 1) it is so freaking emotional, 2) because it really made me cry and also because, I couldn’t sleep.

Anyways, I am going to be serious now. This book is written SO beautifully! It sure made me cry but, it also made me laugh at times. Both the characters are broken, Violet, because of the death of her sister and Finch, well..just because he is Finch (The freak, that’s what his classmates called him)

At first, Violet thinks of him as the freak who saved her from jumping off the Bell Tower in their high school. But gradually, as they spend more time together, working on their US Geography project, they grow closer and eventually fall in love. It’s only then when they are together, they can be themselves.

But as Violet starts living her life like before her sister, Eleanor died, Finch starts to live in a way which will leave everyone with a broken heart.

No matter what, I cannot write much for this book, it’s just such an amazing, heart-stopping and emotional young adult novel. All I can say is, this is a must-read for everyone going through a tough time in their lives. Not only them, but also the ones who think their life is perfect, because everyone should be informed about the sadness, in some people’s lives nowadays.

Honestly, this is a great book for, The Fault In Our Stars fans. I would totally recommend it.

Which book are you planning to read in the future?

Signing off,
